Valkyrie hosts first London International Disputes Week (LIDW) session

4 June 2025

On Wednesday 4 June, specialist security company Valkyrie hosted its first London International Disputes Week (LIDW) session alongside the law firm Monan Gozzett LLP on the topic ‘Protecting Data, Privacy and Reputation: Collaborative Solutions for Complex Legal and Security Risks’.

Gurpreet Thathy, Director of Cyber Security, Technical Surveillance and Countermeasures, and Neal Gozzett, Senior Partner at Monan Gozzett, explored how collaboration between law firms, investigative and security specialists, and other subject-matter experts can help protect clients more effectively in today’s increasingly complex risk landscape. Valkyrie shared practical insights drawn from a recent real-world case and discussed how multidisciplinary teamwork can lead to more efficient risk management, cost-effective solutions, and improved client outcomes.

LIDW is a forward-thinking forum that aims to explore and contribute to the future of international dispute resolution by bringing together all the stakeholders in London’s dispute resolution community to debate and explore the key issues and topics, and to help drive awareness and best practice globally.

This event highlighted how the intersection of legal and security expertise has become paramount in protecting clients from complex risks involving data security, privacy, and reputational harm. Key topics discussed included seamless legal and investigative resources integration, proactive threat identification, and enhanced strategic decision-making.

Beyond the core discussion, the event also provided legal and security professionals with meaningful networking opportunities, fostering potential partnerships and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Attendees left with actionable insights on implementing collaborative frameworks to strengthen their practice and better serve their clients in an increasingly uncertain world.
