Volopa prepares to expand into Europe with the launch of Volopa Ireland
15 June 2025
Volopa has announced it is preparing to expand into Europe with the launch of Volopa Ireland. The expense management and international payments company recently established Volopa Ireland Ltd to accelerate growth into the EU and EEA.
Entrepreneur Oliver Heaney, with his extensive contacts and network, will assist Volopa in building up its European client base. He has already introduced Volopa to the Irish Development Agency (IDA), who are now in active talks to support the growth of the Group in Ireland and expansion into Europe.
Oliver Heaney is an entrepreneur specialising in consulting, admin services and software ventures. In 2023, he sold software and cloud services company Sidero (founded in 2013) to American digital engineering group GlobalLogic, owned by Hitachi. Sidero employed 150 people at the time of sale.
Volopa CEO James Radford said of the future expansion: “Expanding into Ireland and across Europe marks a pivotal step in our strategic growth journey. Ireland’s dynamic financial ecosystem and talent pool make it an ideal gateway to the wider European market. We’re excited to bring our expertise to new regions, foster strong local partnerships, and deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients across the continent.”
Earlier this year, Volopa welcomed former Revolut UK CEO James Radford as CEO of Volopa. Under his leadership, Volopa continues to set new standards of excellence in the expense management and multicurrency card space, announcing major new clients and significant integrations with Xero, Microsoft Dynamics and QuickBooks within its proprietary platform.
